The title is seriously out of character for me, but I AM practicing rune magic.
I'm working my way through the elder futhark attuning myself to each rune at a rate of 1 every 3 days. A nice slow approach to fundamentals ensures the best results.
My attunements involve focal meditation on one rune whilst chanting it's galdr sound. So far I just got done attuning myself to Fehu, and am on to Uruz.
I did some amazing things with Fehu, and since I got into rune magic (Not asatru school, mind you, but legitimate rune magic) I've done the most powerful magic workings of my life. That's three days to counter 5 years of serious experience, with 12 years of casual experience, and almost 20 years (my entire life) of magical things happening at random.
Fehu sealed a major flesh wound in my toe (I had peeled back the meat), gave me a better way to call the wind, and gave me meaningful dreams about my temperament so I could change for the better.
I'm looking forward to working with Uruz today. Looking over uruz's attributions, I may try to use it to attain the opus minor of the soft qigong arts, the golden bell somewhere down the road.
Uruz is strongly tied to solidarity and the norse equivalent of the vital force. Sounds like the perfect meditation to cultivate this particular ability.
Just for clarification, I don't normally seek abilities but rather seek experiences that provide good practice.
